encounter with a polar bear

Een rustig tochtje naar Kongsfjordneset om wat temperatuurloggers uit te lezen samen met Milan, Friederike, Louis en Karein. Niks aan de hand totdat we een karkas vonden, voetstappen, en ja hoor verderop 2 ijsberen... Het was wel even spannend, want om naar de boot te komen, moesten we richting de ijsberen. De eerste helft werden we alleen bekeken, maar daarna begonnen ze naar ons toe te komen. Met nog wat extra vaart zijn we naar de boot gegaan en 5 minuutjes nadat we in het water zaten, liepen de 2 beren al op het plekje waar wij aan land waren gekomen. Gelukkig waren we kalm en goed voorbereid en is het allemaal soepel verlopen. Nu hebben we de echte pooldoop gehad ;).
