Eerste verkenning op het grootste broedeiland |

| Samen met Birge Moe en Anette Fenstadt gaan Lise en ik kijken op het grootste broedeiland, welke ganzen er allemaal op een nest zitten. We tellen 159 nesten. Tot mijn verbazing hebben de ganzen nauwelijks last van de vele sneeuw. Wel zijn de legsels kleiner: gemiddeld 3.1 ei per nest terwijl dat vorig jaar 3.8 eieren per nest was. | |

| Börge en Anette controleren de eidereendnesten en Lise en ik tellen de brandgansnesten. Er zijn ook 10 rendieren op het eiland. Een jaarling is nieuwsgierig e komt op ons af. | |

| Vanuit het vliegtuig kon ik vlak voor de landing deze foto van het broedeiland maken. Dit was 11 juni 2009 om 11:30 uur. | |
